Alex Trenchard’s Standon Calling has served as a springboard for the likes of Florence & The Machine and Glasvegas on its trajectory from birthday bash for the founder to an indelible fixture for 6,000 punters who relish Trenchard’s consummate creativity and environmentalism. And Midas played a core part in delivering the festival’s green edge this summer, for a fifth successive year.

“Standon Calling is one of very few festivals powered exclusively by biodiesel and there have been no issues with it at all,” Trenchard said. “We’ve been able to achieve everything we’ve wanted to since Midas came on board.

“There are so many aspects to making a festival ‘green’. You can’t do everything at once, so we focused on the areas that make the biggest difference on site. Power is top of the list and I think it’s time the industry took notice of what Standon Calling and Shambala have achieved using Midas’ generators.”
