A HIAB is a truck-mounted hydraulic crane – the piece of equipment that makes the difference between a delivery that can be done and one that cannot.
Where standard trailers and forklifts run out of options, a HIAB crane-equipped vehicle can lift, rotate and place loads in positions that would otherwise require a separate mobile crane at significantly greater cost.
Midas operates its own HIAB fleet, which is used daily to position generators, fuel tanks and plant equipment on our own hire jobs. We now make that capability available to customers who need lifting and haulage services independent of a generator hire.

Typical Applications
Agricultural
Placing standby generators inside or adjacent to livestock buildings, grain stores and agricultural processing facilities, often where standard vehicle access is restricted, and a crane lift is the only practical option.
Commercial and Industrial
Positioning permanent standby generator installations at commercial premises, data rooms, manufacturing facilities and utilities infrastructure. Many permanent generator installations require crane placement at initial commissioning.
