Our hire fleet runs from 13kVA to 650kVA, covering everything from small events and site power through to large-scale industrial and agricultural applications. All machines are sourced from JCB, Himoinsa and Pramac, serviced in-house at our Suffolk workshop, and fitted with remote monitoring as standard.
Hire is available on a daily, weekly or long-term contract basis. Every hire begins with a free load assessment, we size the machine correctly for your application and your cable run, not just the nearest round number.
Midas is an authorised dealer for JCB and Himoinsa, two manufacturers whose products we use and maintain in our own fleet. We sell standby, prime and bespoke generator sets for permanent and long-term installations, from single-phase farm backups to three-phase industrial standby systems.
Every sale includes delivery, installation, commissioning and the option of an ongoing Midas service contract. If you are weighing up buying versus hiring, we are happy to talk through the options honestly. We do both, so there is no pressure either way.
Battery energy storage units, when paired with a diesel generator, reduce fuel consumption, reduce running noise, and lower the carbon footprint of your temporary power installation. Midas stocks hybrid battery units from JCB, Power Saving Solutions and Pramac, covering a range of output sizes and operating profiles.
Hybrid power works particularly well for events with noise restrictions, urban construction sites, agricultural applications with intermittent loads, and film and TV productions. Combined diesel and battery hire packages are available as a single agreement.
Stage V is the current emission standard for non-road mobile machinery (NRMM) under UK and EU regulations. For government contracts, construction in Clean Air Zones, and procurement that specifies NRMM compliance, a Stage V certified generator is required. Midas stocks Stage V machines from 13kVA to 150kVA.
Stage V generators use diesel particulate filter technology and, above 56kW, AdBlue injection to meet emission limits. If you are not sure whether Stage V applies to your project, ask us; we will give you a straight answer and will not push you towards a more expensive machine if it is not necessary.
