Our Own Fleet, On Your Schedule
When a generator needs to be on your site at 7 am on Monday, the last thing you want is a sub-contracted haulier who does not know the difference between a generator and a storage container.
Midas operates its own transport fleet, including HGV and 4×4 vehicles with HIAB crane capability, and every delivery is made by the people who know the equipment.

HGV Delivery Vehicles
Our HGV fleet carries generators, fuel tanks, cable and distribution equipment across Suffolk and East Anglia as part of every hire.
Because we own and operate our own vehicles, we control the delivery schedule, no waiting on third-party availability, no uncertainty about arrival times.
- Full-size generator transport - machines from 13kVA to 650kVA loaded and secured to our specification
- Fuel tank delivery - Western Global Transcube units delivered alongside generators or separately
- Cable and distribution equipment - full distribution packages delivered as a single load
4x4 Vehicles
Not every site is accessible by a standard HGV. Agricultural yards, fields, moorings and off-road construction sites often require lighter vehicles with genuine off-road capability.
Our 4×4 fleet handles deliveries and engineer visits to sites where an HGV cannot go.
- Agricultural sites - field deployments, remote livestock buildings, grain store installations
- Marine and waterside locations - quayside and harbour-adjacent sites
- Difficult access construction and civil engineering sites
HIAB Crane Capability
Some generators need to be placed in positions that cannot be reached by driving alongside and unloaded with a forklift. Our HIAB crane-equipped vehicles can lift and place generators over walls, into yards, and into locations that would otherwise require a separate crane hire.
This is particularly useful for:
- Permanent standby generator installations at commercial and agricultural premises
- Positioning generators in enclosed yards or plant rooms
- Deliveries to sites with restricted trailer access

Our transport fleet is based near Ipswich in Suffolk. We regularly deliver across East Anglia, Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire, and can cover wider UK locations for larger contracts.
