New Himoinsa Canopy Seal that Minimises Water Ingress
As part of its policy of continuous improvement of product and service quality, Himoinsa has modified the design and composition of its canopies to minimise water ingress in extreme conditions of rain and snow.
From January 2018, all Himoinsa generator set canopies will have a new, heavy-duty external seal, made from high-density polyurethane, on all gaskets. It is a high-quality, single-component, elastic seal with excellent resistance to ultraviolet radiation, a wide range of chemicals and extreme temperatures ranging from -30 to 90°C.
Himoinsa has implemented this seal as part of an improvement process, thus guaranteeing that there is virtually no water ingress inside generators in extreme storm and snow conditions.
As part of the same process, since 2016 conical gaskets and backup gaskets have been incorporated in the lifting hook, which ensure a perfect fit to prevent the backpressure that is exerted on this point when the generator is in operation from causing water ingress.
Himoinsa has also been continuously improving the interior design of canopies and tubing to minimise water ingress, including small deflectors in some models for this purpose.
Midas offer the full range of Himoinsa power generators, from their headquarters near Ipswich in Suffolk, including diesel fuel storage from Western Global fuel tanks.
