Midas recognised at an early stage in its development that in order to respond to its clients demands and requirements; providing consistent, well maintained and reliable machinery, in this most challenging industry, was to own the machinery itself.
Investment in plant is one of our main annual expenditures and the programme of investment remains ongoing. To complement the fleet Midas also stock large quantities of mains cable and distribution products, which cater from the smallest function to some of the countries most prestigious events and festivals.
An integral part of any temporary electrical system is the planning before deployment. Midas offer full site design, often working to very tight timescales and budgetary demands. This can sometimes be in the most challenging and sensitive locations around the UK.
All contracts are bespoke by nature and are treated accordingly with the aim to deliver efficient, reliable and above all safe electrical systems.
All operations are accessed from optimised generator sizing to avoid plant running inefficiently, to road haulage and logistics. The aim is to deliver cost effective solutions to our festival power hire clients whilst at all times minimising the impact on the environment.
David Noble, Midas Managing Director comments on winning the Best Green Festival Supplier award at the 2014 Showmans Show, and being shortlisted for Best Festival Power supplier:
Making the shortlist is a significant achievement for Midas. Both categories are hugely competitive; Green, because it’s such a broad church and Power because there are massive, hugely influential companies under that umbrella. So to have won the Best Green Festival Supplier award, is truly fantastic! We’ve built the business up, in terms of equipment and clout, to the point where it’s the exclusive power supplier to any number of high profile events, so it’s very rewarding to be recognised by our peer group and to have our work scrutinised by such a well-qualified judging panel.
