2000 years of history brought to life on Hadrian’s Wall
History came to life in a series of vivid and spectacular events along one of the world’s most famous frontiers: Hadrian’s Wall between 24 and 31 May.
Dramatic re-enactments with a living cast of hundreds brought the frontier story to life. For the first time in 1600 years there was a full Century of Roman soldiers from all over Europe along the Wall – as well as Border Reiver, Viking, and English Civil War re-enactors – who all brought their stories together in a large-scale pageant finale in historic Corbridge on Saturday 30th May.
Midas were delighted to be involved and provided carbon neutral power solutions across the entire event supplying a number of machines from 10KVA to a pair of 200KVA generators synced for the finale in Corbridge. Midas also designed and supplied the various mains and distribution systems and maintained for the duration.
